About Us
Ruben Luna, Workshop's Creative Director & Founder, established the brand in 2015 in Philadelphia. A Columbia University alum, he transitioned from finance and consulting at KPMG to pursue his design passion. His early designs were featured at major retailers like Bloomingdales, Urban Outfitters, & Nordstrom.
Notably, at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, he led the product design team, creating over 5,000 designs of jewelry, apparel, accessories, home gifts, stationery, & wall art. Ruben collaborated with renowned brands including Alexander McQueen and Prada for the Met Gala's Costume Institute annual exhibition.
While Ruben enjoyed working with creative teams, he decided to pursue his own vision with Workshop to create a curated, yet inviting space to discover handcrafted jewelry, local art and artisan gifts.
In 2016, Ruben partnered with Bopa Van, Design Director of Workshop, to create hundreds of unique, handcrafted gemstone jewelry styles, including those featured in their eponymous jewelry collection, Van Luna.

Ethical Sourcing
Workshop proudly uses ethically sourced gemstones, responsibly-sourced certified diamonds, and cultivated (lab-grown) diamonds. We also source estate (pre-owned) diamonds including Old Mine and Old European cuts. Our precious metals are 100% certified recycled.
